STEP

Supported steps towards education, work and meaningful activity

STEP is MIKS Ressurssenter's programme for young people, primarily those aged 16 to 24. Through practical experience, collaboration and guidance, you can explore your strengths, build new skills and find a way forward that works for you.

STEP programmes

Three programmes within one initiative for young people.

STEP is the umbrella for MIKS Ressurssenter's initiative for young people. STEP Skape and STEP Idéverksted are established programmes, while STEP Lab is under development. They share the same foundation: safety, practical learning, manageable steps and a visible way forward.

12-week employment-focused programme with a real assignment

STEP Skape

  • 12 weeks
  • 2 sessions per week
  • 6 to 8 participants

Young people work together on a real, adapted assignment for an external organisation. This provides practical experience of attendance, collaboration, responsibility and delivery, but participation in the programme is not an employment relationship.

20-week programme based on participants' own ideas and interests

STEP Idéverksted

  • 20 weeks
  • 1 session per week
  • 6 to 8 participants

Young people can explore their own ideas, interests or projects in a safe and structured setting. Participants work step by step to develop, plan, test and present something they are curious about or motivated to pursue.

Under development

STEP Lab

  • AI
  • digital tools
  • future skills

STEP Lab is a programme under development where young people will explore AI, digital tools and future skills in a practical and responsible way. The aim is to strengthen responsible use of AI in learning, idea development, job seeking, work and future choices.
